is looking for a skilled Machinist to operate a variety of precision machinery to perform a variety of tasks in our facility.
Job SummaryThe position will be responsible for new injection mold tooling, fixtures, tool repair, mold changes and assemble and fit of molds as needed.
This position reports to the tool engineer.
Essential Job Responsibilities Support company policies and management decisions and implement management direction Maintain and repair existing equipment Work along with production associates to satisfy our customers' needs, which can include repairs and improvements to molds, fixtures and equipment Maintain supplies and security of the tool crib Make estimates of the time to completion and meet the estimates Maintain working relationships with all Flambeau associates with effective communication Maintain a positive work attitude that will do what it takes to get the job done on time and within cost goals The position will require the following Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to move quickly in a confined space.
Must be able to read drawings, manuals, and work with blueprints.
Must be able to use hand tools such as planers, grinders, saws, drills, etc.
Knowledge of various types of machinery and their uses is required.
Knowledge on how to operate various types of machines such as milling machines, lathe-tooling machines, drilling machines etc.
Experience Minimum 5 years experience in the tool and mold building industry Mold maker or tool die maker is a plus or equivalent experience EducationHigh school or equivalent (Preferred)Qualifications Basic computer skills is necessary for the job Can speak fluent English Has working knowledge of all shop equipment, including hands-on skill on mills, CNC's, EDM's, and grinders The skills to learn and program our brands of CNC's and EDM's Recommended Skills Assembly And Installation Blueprinting Communication Confined Spaces English Machinery Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
