Sr.
Applications Engineers at SDC are individuals that use strong machine design fundamentals and integrate them with out-of-the-box, creative ideas to create unique automated machine functional concepts, proposals, and the budget and resources needed to match our customer and internal specifications.
We are looking for individuals who can create the above with a quick turnaround time by working closely with our customers and our SDC sales, project management and team partners.
Essential
Responsibilities:
o Conceptual development, quoting and writing of detailed technical proposals for all types of automation equipment, machines, and projects, using sound engineering principles and SDC components and proven systems when possible.
o Work closely with customers throughout requirements definition and concept generation to ensure needs are understood and proposed solutions will meet those needs o Prepare sales presentations, as needed, based upon technical proposals for communication to customers and our SDC team, highlighting competitive advantages and unique and/or proven solutions.
o Prepare detailed estimates of time, quantities, labor, and material costs required for work areas such as product design, testing, machine building, equipment installations and manufacturing processes.
o Travel independently and/or with the sales team to the customer's site to assist with sales activities, project, or product development; and creating design specifications, objectives, and standards, when needed.
o Assist SDC team with evaluating and developing sales leads to ensure alignment with SDC project goals, capacity, and capabilities.
o Maintain applications engineering related documentation in company electronic record systems.
o Follow SDC project release process to facilitate kick-off of each project with the Project Management and Engineer teams.
o Provide design assistance to the project team throughout the design phase of the project; attend internal design and brainstorming review meetings.
o Assist with various sales and engineering related activities as needed.
o Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.
o Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management.
o Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
